  4. LANtastic 2Mbps and 2Mbps MC adapters are the perfect way to economically
  5. network small or medium sized businesses with IBM PC or Micro Channel
  6. compatible computers. 
  7.  
  8. Both Micro Channel Architecture and Industry Standard Architecture (ISA)
  9. adapters include a 10Mhz coprocessor, and 32K of on-board dual-ported RAM.
  10. Each 2Mbps adapter also includes software - selectable IRQ and RAMBASE
  11. address settings.

  13. Artisoft's implementation of the NetBIOS standard is loaded into and executed
  14. within the adapter. This plunges the NetBIOS draw on a PC's base RAM down to
  15. just 2K and off loads the network processing onto the adapter. The cards are
  16. easy to install and use inexpensive dual-twisted pair cable.

  18. LANtastic 2Mbps and 2Mbps MC adapters drive cable lengths of up to 1500 feet
  19. per network with Artisoft cable, up to 300 feet with AT&T telephone grade
  20. cable, and they will handle 32 nodes per network.
